Garibaldi Jam

In the beginning. . . . Dubbed "Asleep at the Switch", this group started out as four or five folks playing music and has grown to a community of up to fifteen players at any given session. Now called "Garibaldi Jam", they perform every Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Garibaldi Communty Hall for appreciative audiences that travel from as far as Seaside, Oregon, to enjoy their rustic performances. The Jam plays mostly old-time favorites and Country-Western standards using their complete sound system, with the audience "cutting a rug" on the large dance floor while others sit and enjoy, toes a-tapping.

The group got its start in 2000 at the Old Mill RV Park and through the years has been searching for a home - playing in places such as motels, Dairy Queen, and even railroad cars. A local resident Pat Patterson was able to secure the band's Garibaldi Jampresent home with the generous assistance of the Garibaldi Lions Club, which provides much-needed community services.

No admission fee is charged, but donations are always welcome. Come join them for an evening of fun - they always welcome good musicians.
